Identifying and applying to USAID grant opportunities

Many NGOs seek USAID funding but are ultimately unsuccessful or find the process too challenging. Since their funding applications have a reputation for being incredibly complicated and time-consuming, many don’t even try. This is a pity, as USAID has a huge budget ($60.4 billion in 2023) and works in many sectors in over 130 countries. In this self-directed online course, our experienced instructor will guide you through the process of applying for a grant with USAID from start to finish and will share his best insights and first-hand experience from over 20 years of working in fundraising and international development.

This online course will cover four main topics:

• What is USAID?
• How USAID operates
• The application process, start to finish
• Tips to make your applications more successful

After finishing this course, you will know how to apply to USAID funding opportunities, including what to look out for, and what can distinguish your proposal from all the others.
